Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo by a small lake ( Podpeško jezero) near Ljubljana, capital of Slovenia.

Time

It was in the morning hours around 10AM, it was cloudy so there was no direct sun

Lighting

The girl on this photo is Alenka Artnik, the world champion in free diving (113m with monofin at the CMAS World championship in Roatan 2019). She is traveling around the world and training most of the year. She comes back home to Slovenia only in winter. So we made interview with her and needed also some photos. So we decided to make photos in this cold lake in late November. She didnt have a problem with realy cold water and was swimming like a fish.

Inspiration

Because of cold winter weather and very little time we couldn't go to the seaside and decided to make all photos close to the capital. The other thing was that I as a photographer didn't want to go into this cold water instead I decided for drone shots. I wanted to show how smoodly she is moving in the water

Editing

Only small cop and a bit of contrast, nothing more

In my camera bag

In my bag there is Nikon D700 camera, and four prime lenses: Nikon 50mm f:1,4, Nikon 24mm f:1,8, Sigma 35mm f:1,4 art and Sigma 85mm f:1.4 ART.
