Behind The Lens
Location
This photo was taken in Northern Ontario.Time
This is one of my favourite photos. I went every day around 6 pm to look for kits once I spotted tracks and activity.Lighting
The sun was beginning it’s decent, so a little behind the trees but casting enough light to make the daisies bright.Equipment
I used a Canon 80D with a 600m lens. I didn’t have my tripod so I was on my knees with the camera balanced on the guard rail.Inspiration
This was a perfect spot for a photo with the kits playing in the daisies.Editing
Not a lot of post processing. The light was good at that moment. In my camera bag
My camera bag usually contains my 100-600m lens and a 100-300m lens. Usually my camera is attached to an Omni pod for support when the tripod is inconvenient.Feedback
It’s usually hard to find kits in the wild. A Fox den is often hidden as was this one. I discovered it because of the debris around it. Keep your eyes open for Paw prints and bones of past meals. They are a good indicator that a den is near.
