This gentleman was at the Civil War reenactment at Resaca, Georgia. I photograph reenactments all over Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee. This was the first time I saw him and I did not get his name.

Location
This photo was taken at a Civil War reenactment at Resaca, Georgia. This gentleman was camped with other participants. He spent the weekend here but did not participate in the actual battle. I was walking around the camps prior to the battle and took a number of shots of interesting characters.Time
This was taken at 11:19 on the morning of May 5, 2018.Lighting
The day was partly cloudy. I used the available light.Equipment
Canon 7D MKII with Canon 70-200 f2.8 L on a monopod.Inspiration
Over the past several years I have photographed Civil War reenactments all over the South. While I do take some photos during the battles my main focus has been on the people. I have gotten to know a lot of the people who enjoy this hobby and have become their unofficial official photographer. This particular photo was of a person I did not know but chatted with him for a while after I took the shot.Editing
I always shoot in RAW and then post-process with Lightroom. This shot required very little post-processing except converting to B & W and adding a little sharping and contrast. In my camera bag
Since switching to mirrorless I have changed what I carry. I now have a basic setup of the Canon R and Canon 7D MKII bodies and a selection lenses depending on what I am shooting. Most commonly I will have the Canon EF 70-200 f2.8L, Canon EF 50mm f1.8, Canon FD 24 f2.8, and Tamron 28-75 f2.8. I have two adapters which allow me to use the EF and FD mount lenses on my Canon R. If I am going to need any lighting I generally carry it in a separate bag.Feedback
I would encourage others to take photos of people doing something. There will be thousands of photos taken at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon today and they will all be virtually the same. Recording people at a specific point in their life cannot be duplicated.
