Behind The Lens
Location
This picture was taken in Himachal Pradesh. It was a trek during my freshmen year in college, which is amidst the beautiful Himalayans.Time
We started the trek at around 8 am. It was very cold and cloudy at that time. But around the noon, the clouds cleared and I got this mesmerizing backdrop of sky. This picture was taken at around 1:00 pm.Lighting
It was all naturally lit, with harsh sunlight.Equipment
This was shot on Nikon d5300 with 18-55mm kit lens. No other equipment was involved.Inspiration
The thing I like about mountains is the solitary treks and calmness. I captured this lone tree to represent that calmness.Editing
I did basic exposure correctness followed by basic colour grading. After that I did some sharpening on the grass and some darkening of the sky.In my camera bag
At that time, I used the college equipment which usually had Nikon crop sensor DSLRs with kit lenses and some prime lenses.Feedback
The best trip to capture nature abstracts to to spend more on travel. Travel a lot and keep a keen eye towards beautiful frames. Our lenses see different than our eyes, and that vision comes by time.
