The skies were overcast as snow was falling lightly.Equipment
Nikon D810, Lens was a 150-600 sigma handheld at 190mm. ISO 400 and shutter speed 1/400 sec. F6.3Inspiration
This was my first time to see Yellowstone NP in the winter. It was amazingly beautiful. We were on the lookout for wildlife and came upon these buffalo close to the road. I was intrigued how they move the snow with their faces to uncover the brush underneath. Then they lay there with snow covered faces.Editing
Yes, I post process in Lightroom adding some hdr it helped toned down the white snow.In my camera bag
Nikon D810. Usually I have my 28-300 lens on, but when going for wildlife I take my Sigma 150-600. I also pack a polarizer. Extra batteries especially in the cold weather. I also pack my Tamron 15-30 for landscape shots.Feedback
I turned the ISO up to 400 because of the overcast day. I use the longer lens so I am not too close to the wildlife.
