This image was taken on Main Street in Saint Johnsbury Vermont, This is one of the very unique buildings along the street and has always been one of my personal favorites.Time
This image was taken around 4:30 AM, we had just gotten a fresh snowfall and the town was quite and I thought I would get out and take a few "snowy town" images.Lighting
The lighting was interesting whereas it was still very cloudy and the majority of the light was just local town light pollution that was illuminating the sky.Equipment
This was shot with a Canon T6i, on a tripod and a Sigma 17-50mm lens at 20mm with an f stop of 3.2 and a 20s exposure, no flash, no external flashInspiration
I have always appreciated this building, in fact when I was a young boy, we had Boy Scout meetings in the basement of this church, so it has a special meaning to me, It just looked so peaceful and quite in the morning light with the fresh snow.Editing
This image is actually two images to get the height of the steeple in the shot. Then I used Microsoft ICE to combine the two images, final tweaks were done in Photoshop, but those were fairly minor. In my camera bag
I carry way too much stuff around with me, that is a definite. However, it seems like my go to lens is my Sigma 17-50 and of recent my Sigma 70-300. Of course my Canon T6i and for backup my Canon Powershot SX50Feedback
My best advise would be get out there and work on your "seeing", there is so much beauty in the world and we tend to be so busy we just don't see it. Don't be afraid to stop and take the time to see, shoot and appreciate the beauty in the world.
