Location
At my home studioTime
It was evening, and the light was artificial.Lighting
I used two small softboxes and I wish I knew more about lighting and move it a bit more to the front of the subject.Equipment
Nikon D7200 and a Sigma 70-200 f2.8, a manfrotto tripod and no flashInspiration
This is the interesting part of this portrait. Hera, the subject, is a friend of mine and is a hairstylist. He has a startup and needed a logo. He wants to be more than a regular hairstylist and he is working hard on that. So I had to deliver a good logo that represents him and his image. I had the idea of making a portrait, a close up headshot where he is serious so I cand have inspiration for my logo. That’s why I used a 70-200 lens in my home studio which is not very large. Long story short, I made the logo and I wish I could show it to you but I am not sure I can through this form. Anyway, the logo looks like him and it was a success.Editing
Yes, I went for a high contrast black and white so I can see the features which interested me better: hair, glasses, moustache and beard. In my camera bag
I have two Nikon D 7200, and a few nikon and sigma lenses which I alternate depending on what I want to shoot. Always have a Micro Nikkor 55mm f2.8Feedback
Not sure what advice I could give since this was a studio shot made for a Logo. I would be more careful with the light now.
