Location
I take this photo at the passage of the old university named, Oudemanhuispoort. This passage is still a place for old fashion bookshops. As you can see the book seller himself was his best client.Time
I think it was arround midday but because of the passage their was not a lot of light.Lighting
Indirect window light from the passage.Equipment
I used the canon 6D with the 24/105 mm F 4.0 L IS USM, no flash, no tripodInspiration
Because of the bad selling i thought he was reading how to play and win the Poker game, to find a way out of his buisness.Editing
I try to make most collors monchrome in lightroom accept for the collors in the book.In my camera bag
Today i use my Sony A7II that i bought next to the 6D almost all the time, because of all the creative options like the one i used here is in camera with the A7II. Also the bennefit of using thirth party manual focus vintage lenses can ad some creative things to my photography.Feedback
If i do it again i will use a faster and wider lens to get a faster shutterspeed like a F2.8 or wider lens. If you walk in the Streets of Amsterdam for example, their are lot of alleys or corners where low light situations occure, off course you can use a tripod but than the ellement of suprise would be gone as for this Photo i think.
