Location
This photo was taken in Spokane Washington, next to the river. There was a nesting platform on top of a very tall telephone/electrical pole.Time
It was around 2 or 3 pm.. I noticed the two birds up in the nest, and captured many shots at different locations at a distance, because I didn't want to scare them away before I got the right shot. I inched closer with every shot, until I was approximately 5-10 ft away from the post, he never took his eyes off me. I just raised the camera up, angled almost straight up to him attempting to capture his prideful pose as he looked out over the river and surrounding area. In the same moment that I had pushed the button, he looked down, straight into my lens.Lighting
Natural light.Equipment
Canon Rebel T5 with a 70-300 lens.Inspiration
I love nature, and capturing their candid moments.Editing
No processing or editing except for a little cropping. In my camera bag
I normally have just my camera, the 70-300mm, a MC HD 0.43X wide angle altura photo lens, and the stock 18-55 EF-S zoom lens.Feedback
Patience, being at the right place at the right time.
