Location
I took this photo in my hometown Görlitz (Germany) near the polish border. The library is known under the name "Oberlausitzische Bibliothek der Wissenschaften".Time
It was about 4 pm when I took the photo. I had to pay some money for the entry and for the permisson to take one photo. So it lasts not a long time to get the final shot.Lighting
Because of the symmetrie I tried to set the light straight into the middle.Equipment
I used my Canon EOS 550D with a 18-55mm lens on a tripod.Inspiration
I saw a similar shot taken by a local photographer. I was wondering what a beautiful library we have in Görlitz, cause I didn't know her before.Editing
The post-processing was the main part to create this photo. I improved the symmetrie, added a vignette, did some retouch and finally I created a warm look. All these steps were done with photoshop. In my camera bag
In my bag I always have my Canon EOS 550D with four lenses: the 18-55mm Kit-Lens, a 70-30mm Tamron-lens, a 11-16mm Tokina-lens and another Tamron-lens with 60mm. Than very important: 6 battery packs, a lens-pen and two SD-Cards. And last but not least some filters (grey & pol).Feedback
Try to take a perfect shot with a nearly perfect symmetrie. Use therefore a tripod to set your camera to the right position. If you have the possibility take more than one or two shots. It is better to have the agony of choice in post processing! Be creative in using the rule of thirds and direct the eye of the beholder by setting a vignette and giving the right colorlook.
