Location
This picture was taken at the gated entrance to Lanhydrock House in Bodmin in Cornwall (UK) the lighting was just right but the sun wasn't playing ball so I added the flare and shadows in photoshop.Time
The image was taken at around 1pm during quite a flat light day so no harsh sun to contend with which always helps in this sort of situation. The only shame was I actually wanted the sun to be where it appears to be in this image but as it wasn't I added it.Lighting
Lighting is always a must or most people would say so anyway but personally you make your own image and for me the light isn't always that important and you just have to work with what you have.Equipment
This image was taken with a Nikon D3200 and the AF-S 18-55mm DX VR kit lens that comes with the body.Inspiration
Bluebells are stunning and make a great image but I had often overlooked them to photograph the wildlife amongst them so I thought it was time to photograph the surroundings for a change.Editing
The flare (sun) and the shadows in the Bluebells are added as the sun wasn't out to do it itself the rest was just a crop for composition and slight adjustments to colour and light. In my camera bag
As mainly a wildlife photographer and often steam trains I don't carry much gear as it's rarely needed so just a tripod and two lenses one being my Tamron SP 150-600mm DI VC USD and the other being the AF-S 18-55mm DX VR kit lens and that does me great.Feedback
There's not much I can offer as advice really but it's always good if you can see the finished image just by looking at a scene and the just compose and take the image.
