This one of my favorite photos of my Basset Hound Daisy, who is my main source of inspiration, I get a lot of comments from friends like, "you know it's out of focus, right?" Yes, I know, I want it that way ?

Location
This shot was taken at Will Rogers Park in Oklahoma City. This is one of my dog Daisy's favorite spots to take a walk and is great for all weather. Although known for the beautiful flower gardens, they also have amazing grounds to explore with many different variaties of wildlife to photograph.Time
This photo was taken at roughly 1 pm, which is Daisy's typical walk time on the days that I don't work my "regular" job as a nurse. I work three 12 hour shifts and then I'm done for the week so I have plenty of time for enjoying my life and documenting it with photos.Lighting
The midday sunlight along with the black and white, gives it kind of a feeling of a happy memory. I like the vignette that I used because, along with the linear aspect of the bridge, it seemed to add greater depth and distance to the photo.Equipment
This was shot with my trusty Cannon SX280 HS with 20X optical zoom, I got this camera because once the photography bug hit, it hit HARD, but I wasn't quite ready to jump all the way in and buy loads of equipment, plus its small enough to carry around with me everywhere so anytime I see something that inspires me I am ready! I get great concert shots no matter how far back our seats are.Inspiration
This one one of those "golden moments" for me, Daisy was running across the bridge and had turned back as if to say "Come on Mom!" I raised my camera and snapped three or four shots before she continued across. 3 out of four of those shots were actually totally in focus but this is the one I fell in love with. Daisy is 13 years old now and I know her time is short. It has that "crossing the rainbow bridge" feel to it that dog lovers discuss when their pets pass away and it will always be something I have of her to treasure.Editing
The only editing I have done to this photo is change it from color to black and white and add a vignette. As someone who is new to photography, I always thought that you had to be lucky and get the right shot and that was it, but i'm learning that even the best enhance after the original shot.In my camera bag
Right now I have my trusty iphone 6s for emergency photos, and My Canon SX280HS, but I'm looking to branching out soon. Maybe I'll win some great stuff from viewbug!Feedback
My advice is take tons of pictures! The slightest difference in movement or positioning and even focus can take the shot from ok to awesome! If I had stopped at the first of this shot, I would not have gotten what has become one of my favorite photos. This picture is my background on my iphone, my desktop computer wallpaper, and my home screen on my tablet and the header for my viewbug profile.
