Location

Captured this imagine in an old Church on one of the islands off the coast of Venice

Time

around 11.30 a.m

Lighting

Captured within natural light

Equipment

Nikon D750, Nikon Lens 28-300 mm. No flash or tripod or filters were used

Inspiration

The size had an impact on my creativity . The natural light streaming through the windows and under the door seemed to highlight the structure

Editing

Used Lightroom exposure tools to perfect the tonal range. Also Nik Silver Efex Pro to change to a Black and white output. I darkened the surrounds of the image to bring attention to the central subject.

In my camera bag

My equipment in my bag, is a Nikon SLR D750, Lens 28-300 mm and a 16-35 mm lens . A. 10 stop and an 8 stop ND filter, plus a polariser and a remote shutter release. Depending on the circumstances sometimes carry my Light weight Tripod which is a Sirui. I still have my treasured Nikon D700 SLR.

Feedback

For me photography is about expressing my creativity . It is important to have some technical stills as far as your camera is concerned . Constantly take photos with your eyes even if you don't have your camera with you will allow you to be more aware of what is around you. Check other people's quality photos as this provides ideas and passion in your endeavour to improve your seeing. It is not only what you see, but also what you choose to let other people see.
