Wonderful Paul. You are the Master of light. Also think there could be many more men photographed than there are now.

It almost seems like this man tries to say something by using his facial expression. Very well done!

Location
I took this image at Paul Henry Studios located in Atlanta GeorgiaTime
We started the makeup process late morning and started to shoot in the early afternoonLighting
This image was shot with one main light, with an octabox diffuserEquipment
I used a Canon EOS 5D Mark III and a Canon 85mm lens at f5.6, the tripod was a manfrotto and my only light was profoto D1Inspiration
I shoot a lot of models and wanted to play with an idea to make myself look older and less pretty so with the assistance of a model we applied a very dark makeup around my eyes, cheekbones eyebrows and under my white beard. highlight on my nose and above the contour in my cheeksEditing
Post is always Lightroom and Photoshop, for Lightroom I bumped up the contrast and applied a sharpening filter to age the skin by over defining wrinkles, some dodging and burning to pop the highlights and the image was completeIn my camera bag
I normally roll with a Canon 5D Mark II, my 85mm lens and a lens wider than 50mm for environmental style portraitsFeedback
Not sure why anyone would want something similar but the beauty of shooting self portraits is you can do what ever you want, no limits, just try new things, play and build off of successes and mistakes
