Location
this image has been taken in the wood located on Mount Saleve, near Geneva in Switzerland. This is actually the closest mountain you can rapidly reach from the city. Every time I need to escape I am used to go up there.Time
I remember deciding to go up to Mount Saleve that day because when I woke up, the stratus (low clouds typical from my region) was well installed. I know that when we have such a weather condition, there are good opportunities to shoot foggy moods. I took this photo late morning.Lighting
After walking for a while, searching for the limit of the fog where the atmosphere is the best, I finally reached the wanted area. I was really near the top of the fog layer, sometimes I could even see the light piercing. I then looked for cool trees to get a great composition. Lighting was awesome, so I snapped.Equipment
I shot this image with a Nikon D700 + Nikkor 16-35mm. I also used a tripod, as the light was quite low.Inspiration
I love Nature, I love trees ans I love foogy mood. I feel that wide angle adds a lot in the compo and the feeling that trees are looking for light.Editing
As always, I smoothly processed the raw file. I dont do hardcore processing, especially when light condition are as great as it was there. In my camera bag
Nikon D700 and Nikon D810 Nikkor 14-24, 16-35, 70-200 as well as 2 old manual lenses. I have a Nisi filter ND1000 in case i want to shoot long exposures and a remote control.Feedback
Go out and also get knowledge of the weather consitions, it helps ! :-)
