Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in my studio in Basel, Switzerland.

Time

It was shoot in the afternoon.

Lighting

My goal was to emulate natural, soft light in the studio to capture the beauty of Karen. I like how the light defines her body but still has a soft feel.

Equipment

I use my Hasselblad H3DII with the HC 120mm and Broncolor flashes.

Inspiration

The great images from Peter Lindbergh were in the back of my head and with a beautiful model like Karen you don't need more inspiration ????

Editing

I keep retouching to a minimum to underline the natural beauty and turned it then into BW to give a bit more mystical feel.

In my camera bag

I the studio and outdoors I use my Hasselblad H3DII and a couple of lenses, sometimes if I have to be more flexible I use my Fuji X1-Pro.

Feedback

I set up a big piece of fabric to soften the light from the Broncolor flash and a reflector on the opposite side to brighten up the shadows.
