Behind The Lens

Location

On a stroll around my house, before leaving for work. I'm a hobby photographer, self taught with very inexpensive equipment and macro was something I had never tried. I was happy with my results almost immediately!!

Time

Early in the morning, probably around 7am.

Lighting

The lighting was completely natural and I took it from above which I think helps the light really filter through the image

Equipment

My trusty Canon T1i and my 'nifty 50' lens, handheld and held my breath!!

Inspiration

I was just looking around for flowers and this idea popped in my head

Editing

no, not really- this was just a great shot!

In my camera bag

My main squeeze, Canon T1i, my 50mm prime lens and I also have a 85mm Tamron lens I am quite fond of and of course my inexpensive 75-300mm lens for anything a bit further away. I don't use filters or fancy smancy gadgets much but I will pack my tripod and use it with my 35mm kit lens for almost all my night sky work! I am a true budget minded photographer!!

Feedback

Patience and think outside the box. A steady hand helps with this type of photograph. I can't really recommend any equipment as you can see I do not have anything extraordinary, just usual equipment with an eye out for something unusual to capture :) Happy Shooting! Stacyb.
