Location
This photo was taken at Piers Gorge on the Menominee River that cuts between Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.Time
This was taken between 11am and noon.Lighting
This was an overcast day with a few medium dark clouds going through, but then it lightened up a bit and bounced off of the clouds lighting the gorge up more for this shot...Equipment
Nikon D5100, with a 55-200mm Nikkor lensInspiration
For the past several years I've been doing white water rafting photos of Thornton's Rafting Resort. this was a different company from the same area and when I saw this guy riding on the front of the raft I just knew I had to get some shots. Not many people "Bull" ride the raft like this while going through the rapids of the Gorge, this guy was brave enough to do it and was my lucky day to get this shotEditing
Just some basic contrast and sharpening. In my camera bag
Nikon D5100, 55-200mm lens, 18-55mm lens, Nd filter, circular polorizer, remote cord and extra battery.Feedback
Just make sure you use manual settings where you can set different shutter speeds as well as aperture..
