Location
This photo was taken in a lane in Geelong ,its a large country town about an hour from Melbourne in Australia.Time
It was taken about 4.30p.m the sun was getting low so the shadows where long.Lighting
The light was just low enough to take the shot into the sun by waiting till it was almost defused by the building.Equipment
I used a canon 7D with a wide angle lens 15-85, no tripod or flash used.Inspiration
This shot was taken as I wondered around the city of Geelong looking for interesting subjects to photograph.Editing
I converted the shot to B&W added contrast and darkened shadows, by dodging and burning. In my camera bag
I carry my 24-70L , 15-85, and 30-70L, only have the one camera Canon 7D, I carry my tripod if needed.Feedback
Sometimes you have to wait for a subject to walk into your frame , in this case it was the young woman and her dog, which added drama , shadows and interest to the shot.
