Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on my deck.

Time

I ended up taking it in the early afternoon. Lyra and I were just enjoying the beautiful weather.

Lighting

It was just one of those spur of the moment shots.

Equipment

I use a Nikon D3100 and a AF-S Nikor 55-300 lens.

Inspiration

It's not easy taking photos of a brindle dog. They either get lost in the shadows, blend in to the background or you lose your depth of the subject. Lyra and a I were just playing on the deck enjoying the weather and I thought I'd try a few photos while she was listening to my commands. This is one of my favorite photos of Lyra. We lost her in Nov 2015 to lymphoma.

Editing

I dont think I did any adjustments.

In my camera bag

I just carry my Nikon D3100 and the 55-300 lens. I would love to get a few more lens in the future when the budget allows.

Feedback

My only advise is to have fun. Dont hesitate and in this instance the burst shot was a must. Lol.
