This photo was shot under a covered arena. The lighting was dark under the cover and very bright outside. I knew I should be able to get a good shot.Equipment

This particular rider "Bridget" has long black hair and her horse "Diesel" is black as well. I thought that if I could capture her when she was just at the point of entering the arena I could get the shot.Editing
This particular photo has just a little editing with the black to completely eliminate any light areasIn my camera bag

To capture this type of shot you have to be ready for that moment. You must concentrate on getting the shot and not loose focus watching the event.
