Location
I took this photo in my summer home in New Jersey, I wanted it to feel very natural and not posed.Time
This photo was taken a little after 1 o'clock (the heat of the day), so it wasn't too sunny but just right. I really love using natural light especially with a human subject, because the sunlight hits the face in a way studio lights cannot.Lighting
Lighting is a key component of an amazing photo. Here I will be discussing natural light. You must place the subject in a position where the light hits her face correctly. Beware of shadows, sometimes they can be cool but other times they can ruin the photo. Trial and error with lighting and different positions until you get your magical shot.Equipment
Canon Rebel T3 and a 18-55 lenseInspiration
I love playing around with perspective. I woke up that pleasant morning and the lighting looked magnificent so I called my cousin over and we did this amazing shoot.Editing
This photo was not processed in any way. All natural. In my camera bag
I usually have my Canon t3, the 18-55 lense, the 55-200 lense, a slew of sd cards, a usb, and a mini portable tripod.Feedback
Aleays play around with perspective and lighting, while using fun props. Experimentation is key, you never lose anything by trying different methods. This photo was taken from the ground while angling my camera lense up.
