Location
This photo was taken in one of the zoos in East Java, Indonesia. It's one of the various birds of prey exhibit in the shelter.Time
I took this photo at around 10-11 AM. It is obvious esp. if you look at the back-top part of the head of the bird, it's a bit more lighted than the face.Lighting
I do photography as a hobby. I used ambient and natural light most of the time in my photos specifically for nature photography.Equipment
I took this photo using a Nikon D3100 with kit lens 18-55mm @ 55mm focal length, handheld without a flash. I was able to take a closer shot of this beautiful bird because it's tethered outside its cage. I did some cropping to align the subject with the frame and emphasise symmetry.Inspiration
I love taking pictures of animals. I always do take a shot of them whenever I have a chance. I love to take close up photos of animals.Editing
The only post-processing I always do in my photos is adjusting the contrast and brightness. Other than that, it's seldom. In my camera bag
When I started photography as a hobby, I only got my Nikon D3100 with Nikkor kit lens 18-55mm. Then, I bought my Tamron 70-300mm macro-telephoto lens which I usually used for my macro shots. Two years after, I upgraded my gear to Nikon D7100 and bought the Tamron all-in-one 18-270mm lens. Now, whenever I go I always have with me my Nikon D7100 and Tamron 18-270mm lens.Feedback
For photographers who just started with the art, just keep the passion burning and be always open to new learnings.
