First time ever seeing a ball bat splintering to this magnitude! Powerful stuff here ... although I'd check with the manufacturer for credit!

I wanted to take a photo that looked like it was photoshoped, but was 100% done in camera. The bat was constructed from two wooden bats. We destroyed one of the bats to create the splinters and cut the other in half. We then attached the two with hot glue and aluminum wire.Editing

Buy cheap bats! Over all I would suggest trying to think about how can this effect be achieved without using photoshop.
