Location
View from under the millenium bridge in LondonTime
This taken late evening when the area was less busyLighting
I had left the picture till dark as i wanted the long shutter to naturally saturate the picture. I find with longer exposures colour develop far more. At times even displaying colour you can not even see.Equipment
Canon 5D3 17-40mm F4L, TripodInspiration
I wanted to capture the symmetry of the bridge from a point of view most people do not consider. I kept a narrow aperture to allow the starbursts from the lights in the distance.Editing
Post process is primarily done in lightroom, with clarity and contrast and levels adjustments. In my camera bag
I shoot weddings, and sports as well as architecture so my set up changes depending on the job in hand. But my pool of equipment consists of a Canon 5d3, and a 1DX. My lens are 17-40mm f4l, 24-70mm F2.8L USMII, 70-200mm F2.8L isII, 100mm 2.8L IS, 50mm 1.4,85mm 1.8, a x1.4 & x2 extenders, and 2 600RT canon speedlites.Feedback
Take your time, and try to envisage what you want before you start, think about elements such as water and if you want a flat smooth surface, or details of the movement, light bursts if you want to add these or subtract them and set your aperture accordingly. But most of all great pictures only happen if you stand in front of great things!!
