This photo is taken in my small home studio. It's just big enough for the ballerina's.Time
This ballerina is Sophie and it's my favorite ballerina. I work with here a lot.Lighting
This is a very simple 2 light setup. Just a big softbox camera right and a small stripbox on the leftEquipment
for this picture i use a Canon 1ds mark iii, and the Canon 24-70 f2.8L . The flashes are Godox ad400 pro and the softboxes are also from Godox. The background is a Savage seamless paper.Inspiration
My inspiration is coming from the ballerina herself. The beauty and elegance of her inspire my every single time. We work great together and always came up for the poses together.Editing
I didt vet little post-processing. Just a little skin work and i put a gradient on the backgroud. In my camera bag
In my bag i have the Canon 1ds markiii, Canon 24-70 f2.8l. That is my work horse. Canon 100mm f2.8 L and the sigma art 50 mm 1.4. I just bought the Canon R6 markii. This is a amazing and fast camera. Ideal for the fast moving ballerina's and dancers.Feedback
For working with ballerina's and dancers is comunication realy importand. Not all ballerina's can do the same things. There are so many levels of what they can do and you don't want them to hurt themselfs. So listen good of what they say they can do and don't push them. Most importanley have a lot of fun.
