This is one of two car and passenger ferry's that cross the Gambia River, there is no timetable except that the first sailings are at 6 am after that it is when the ship is full, of course in the afternoon when we arrived at the docks both ships were on the south side of the river, so what did it mater no, did life carry on yes the Gambians aren't called the smiling people for nothing, their attitude to religion, mixed marriages ( between tribes or Muslim and Christian) is no big deal, they have even got to the point of Christians taking Muslim Holidays and Muslims taking Christian Holidays is something to behold. even the ferry boat is named after the main Gambian Slave Trader, there aren't any toilets on the ferry's or drinks!!
