The goal of this picture was to show the beauty of the body- the curves, the crevices, etc. I love that the tattoos also tell a story, her story. I put it in black and white to show more of an emphasis to her, instead of the color of her tattoos and her skin. This society is so stuck on what the perfect body is, but all bodies are beautiful. I am actually going to start a series of these pictures using natural light with a lot of different people; all shapes, sizes, age, race, gender, etc.
