When i approached this lady i told her that her outfit was adorable and i just had to snap a photo. She responded “i dont think id meet your beauty standards but alrighty.” I laughed but deep down i felt heart broken, because her personality was bright.

Taken in north carolina. I was astounded at how many roots all stemed down from this one tree and seemed to take over the forest floor. Makes me eyes go all over the place.

This lady had the sweetest smile and when i asked if i could take a photo of her she said in her deep southern accent “well i dont know if im pretty enough for that but alright” and it made me smile. Ended up being one of my favorite street portraits ever
