Location
We were hiking the Lake Louise area. The weather was “iffy” but this can make for interesting light.Time
Since the weather was interesting there was not going to be a real interesting sunrise. We got to this point at around mid-morning just after the drizzle stopped.Lighting
There was so much drama in the sky that I wanted to accentuate that plus the balance of the calm from the beautiful turquoise water.Equipment
I took 2 cameras that I never put down: Olympus OMD E5 with zoom lens for intimates & a Sony A7r3 with 2 wide angle Tamaron. This was shot with the Sony & 17-24 wide angle.Inspiration
I stumbled upon this location just hiking & was struck by its incredible beauty.Editing
I use live in Lightroom and visit Photoshop, also use DXO version 4.In my camera bag
Sony A7r3 is my go to for landscape full view photos. I love the large sensor.Feedback
Just shoot, shoot, shoot. Imagine the viewfinder view as a print on the wall. Look for something in particular that’s interesting like a good sky, good foreground & of course, interesting subject.
