This shot was taken while on a pontoon boat on Porter Lake in Maine while we were out enjoying the peak foliage and way out in the corner of the lake was this perfect little cabin surrounded by trees in every cycle of life, all at once.

Location
I took this shot while with my friends, my brothers, on a pontoon boat in Maine on a perfect autumn day.Time
This photo was taken on a cool fall morning in Maine. Late morning to be exact, around 11am on a Saturday.Lighting
The lighting was perfect due to the presence of only but a few large clouds, allowing the sun to shine through enough to capture the trees and scenery flawlessly, as if capturing all 4 seasons at once.Equipment
This was shot with a Canon 6D Mkii using a Canon 70-200mm F2.8L IS III USM lens, flash not needed.Inspiration
My inspiration for this photo was the leaves and how they go through all the stages of change throughout the year. Living in New England is all the inspiration needed.Editing
This photo was shot RAW, no need to change much except for a tiny bit of exposure adjustment so that the photo looked the same on all devices, i.e. phone/laptop/desktop, etc. The colors and vibrance were shot as is, as was the saturation, to keep its natural appearance. In my camera bag
I normally keep the Canon 6D mkii with 70-200mm f2.8, 50mm ffor. As well as spare batteries, my double battery grip, spare memory, cleaning kit and UV filter (if needed). Lastly, a weather cover for the camera in case of rain/snow.Feedback
Advice for anyone trying to capture these types of scenes, follow your heart. Mess around with the settings until your scene matches what you had in your mind and then snap your shot.
