This photo was taken on my first amateur photo shoot with a friend. I had just recently purchased a Google Pixel 6 phone and was amazed by the quality of photos I was getting. So we decided to go to most picturesque place we could.Time
We originally started with the intent of capturing long exposure shots of vehicles traversing the bridge. I realized I needed to do a bit more research on how to get this done, and the middle of a busy bridge was not the place to do so. We wrapped up the shoot and decided to walk across the bridge to see what images we could capture at 9pm. "There must be something..."Lighting
After taking the first couple of photos of the harbour, I knew I was going to get some stellar shots of the city with no additional lighting. I was in love with my phone.Equipment
This photo was taken with a Google Pixel 6 rear camera under normal camera settings. As I had no tripod with me, I had to position the phone on a bridge guard rail and a bridge post to get the stability I needed.Inspiration
I was inspired by my camera's ability, actually. After seeing the shots from the harbour, I wanted to get a shot that incorporated some of the harbour, Granville Island, Burrard Street Bridge and Vancouver's Beautiful West End.Editing
Because it was early on in my amateur career, lol, there was not a whole lot of post-processing done to this photo.. A little increase of sharpness, some noise reduction and the tiniest increase of saturation. Too much of anything was going to take away from the beauty. In my camera bag
I now carry a tripod with me, along with my trusty Google Pixel 6. I also carry a couple of props that I think I may be able to use at some point, like the highly overdone but I still love it clear, crystal ball, a wooden frame, to take a frame within a frame photo, and a piece of Chalet glass...not quite the equipment you thought I'd be carrying around, right?Feedback
Get out of your studio and walk! There are moments of beauty surrounding us on a daily basis that we take for granted because we see it every day. But remember, not everyone gets to see what you see. Share this beauty with the world!
