Built in 1882 the Kinzua Bridge or the Kinzua Viaduct was billed at the 8th Wonder of the World. Standing 301 feet (92 m) tall and 2,052 feet (625 m) long it was one of the largest railroad structures ever built. It remained in service to train traffic until 1959. It was then purchased to be the focal point of a state park. In 2002 renovations began on the massive structure. Sadly before they could be completed the bridge took direct hit from a tornado in 2003. The standing remains were secured and turned into an amazing overlook.
