For 18-months, the cruise lines were not allowed to dock in Bonaire (as well as most planes). A ship like this can increase the population of the island between 25 and 50%. Money is made, resources are drained, the pristine scuba diving sites are overloaded. It provides a significant income to those living on the island that make their living catering to the visitors. Is it worth it? Who am I to say anything, a visitor by plane that stays for a month.
