Tangier, Morocco ••• After just about running out of money in Europe, I decided to head somewhere that I could make my remaining cash last as long as possible. So I casually hopped on a $45 flight into Africa wearing jeans and a beanie. The driver of this taxicab became sort of a translator and tour guide before eventually introducing me to his own family and friends. We got to know each other very well over the next couple of weeks with plenty of road trips and local adventures together.
