There's quite a tale behind this Orchid.
About 25 years ago I was given this orchid, in a hanging basket, and it grew quite well. But it never flowered, no matter what I did.
Over the years I moved about three times, taking the flowerless orchid with me, until I bought my house. One day I was tending to the barren orchid when I decided I would plant it in my front garden, in the shade, mainly because I was tired of tending to this loveless plant!
I planted it, basket and all, and forgot about it. Next Spring it came forth with the most magnificent flourish of flowers, winning praise from everyone who saw it!
It just needed to come back to Earth.
