Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in Lynwood Art district, in Miami, FL.

Time

While waiting for a model to show up around 6pm. I decided to walk around and take some pictures. while crossing the street I see someone falling off the building or so I thought. It was a manican apart of a artsy them. so I took a picture it didn't come out as good so I stopped and looked around. after backing up some I realized the sign was cadelle Miami was there and that I could fit the Mahican below it. after bending down an fitting the Mahican between the signs I noticed the clouds and made sure my exposure was high enough so that they would show.

Lighting

I was going through a lot during the time of this photo my kid was diagnosed with epilepsy and my son caught covid. So I wanted to express the creativity you can have while in the ring through hard times. It shows how even in our deepest of depressions you can create something beautiful and creatively expressive you can be!

Equipment

I took this photo handheld with my Sony A7RII with a sigma canon adapter with my canon 24-105mm F4 sam iso 1000 70mm f5.0 1/125sec Raw

Inspiration

I can't say I was really inspired to take this photo. It was a in the moment kind of thing!

Editing

Yes I dropped the blacks dropped the highlights dropped the whites added some contrast dropped the exposure just a touch and Brough up the shadows a lot after doing that I dropped the vibrance and raised the saturation to add only the pastel colors brining up the temperature swell.then I played with the color mixtures to try and get that bluish pink to blend just right. I brought up the clarity and dehaze to give it depth brought down the sharpening to take away the edges,

In my camera bag

I start off with my canon 24-105mm F/4 canon lens with my sigma adaptor for my Sony A7RII once that in my bag I pack my canon 50mm F/1.8 and my Sony 16mm F/1.8 lense I put my tripod and my handheld tripod I got off amazon. Then I would add my camera batteries and battery packs for my speaker and phone.

Feedback

Just be you! What ever you decide to create is enough and is meaningful! Express yourself through the Darkness!
