The dance of El Palo Volador in Cubulco, happens yearly in July. Because of the pandemic, the fliers did not dance during 2020 and 2021.
The dance takes around 45 minutes to an hour. It's composed of 8 dancers that climb in pairs up a tree that's usually 20-30m tall and then glide down the pole using ropes to create a conterbalance.
First it's the angels, 6 of them.
The last pair to descend is the Monkey pair.
