This photo was taken in my mother's house. I hadn't shot in so long, due to social anxiety, and it was getting frustrating. So I snapped a pic of the first photo-worthy thing that I saw.Time
This was taken on June 19, 2022 at 5:43 PM EST. I was walking through the house looking for a photo to take for ViewBug and this plant/light set-up caught my eye.Lighting
I just wanted to capture the scene as it was: no special lighting, equipment or filters.Equipment
I shot this with my Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G. F1.8, 1/60s, 7mm, ISO 40.Inspiration
My only inspiration for this was to finally get a camera back in my hand -any camera- and take a shot. Now to zoom in on quality, focus on photography as a career, and shoot to win contest after contest!Editing
No post-processing was involved with this shot.In my camera bag
I think my newbie photo bag is fairly well equipped, for a newbie bag. Canon Rebel T6, Canon 18-55mm kit lens, Quantaray 70-300mm macro lens, Canon 50mm lens, DJI Mavic Air 2 camera drone, batteries, chargers and other miscellaneous stuff. My other bags keep my speed lights, other lighting equipment and soft boxes and such.Feedback
Nike's motto, in my opinion, is the best ever created: "Just Do It." Don't let yourself hold you back. If you suffer from debilitating social anxiety, like I do, use your camera to set you free. Take it slow: shoot indoors; then in the back yard; then the front yard; then a public park; and, finally, make your way into town, where all eyes are on that person with a camera for a face. Photography is the perfect tool to overcome social anxiety.
