This is a friend of mine son. Shortly after he was born it was discovered that he had a swallowing problem and because of this had to have a feeding tube. He couldn't swallow anything without severe risk of aspiration pneumonia. He spent almost the first year of his life not being able to experience foods or liquids. Eventually he got past his problems and was able to start eating normally. His mom asked me to take some pictures of his first time eating black berries and strawberries. We decided to take this to a small creek since he was gonna get messy anyway. This is just one of my favorite shots from that day.
