Behind The Lens

Location

This is an iconic breakfast cafe in Denver, located in the heart of the old meat packing, vegetable/produce warehouse district. The area is known as Globeville, and in the early 1900s attracted Eastern European immagrants who worked in these food warehouses and processing plants.

Time

This image was taken at roughly midnight.

Lighting

Not particularly, wide apeture (f5.4 I think) and slow shutter speed (1/16). The street lighting in the area is minimal, and the building lighting really pops.

Equipment

Nikon D3500, and the hood of my truck.

Inspiration

I am a Denver native and I'm always seeking out these landmark historical Denver locations to photograph. I want to capture them before they disappear to gentrification.

Editing

I did not this image is unedited.

In my camera bag

I normally carry my Nikon d3500 sometimes a Nikon D7000, a speed light a variety of lenses mostly Nikor, and some telephoto and macro attatchments, and spare batteries.

Feedback

Just be inspired by the seemingly mundane places around you and see if you can make them stand out.
