Location
This photo was shot in my back yard. The cactus blooms flamboyantly, and very briefly, once a year, and I always try and capture it at it’s peak.Time
Shot shortly before noon.Lighting
The light was natural, but I used an app to create the black background to show up the flower at it’s best.Equipment
iPhone X, which is pretty much all I use for photography now, although I have a great little Canon G10 as well.Inspiration
Any beautiful flower is an inspiration, and since these are conveniently in my own back yard, I certainly can’t resist!Editing
Only Creative Cloud to remove the background, and then Repix to make it black. In my camera bag
Just my iPhone X (soon to be upgraded!), and I rarely use my Canon G10 these days.Feedback
Capture images whenever and wherever possible, and don’t hesitate to use apps for enhancement or improvement when needed.
