Ptolemy's Cluster
Located near the tail of the Scorpio constellation, it is also known as Messier 7 and NGC 6475.
It is a bright cluster of about 100 stars located between 800 and 980 light-years away from Earth.
About 200 million years old, it has a dimension of about 25 light years.
In the image you can see, in addition to the Ptolemy cluster, the Butterfly Cluster, the Lagoon Nebula,
as well as the stars Lesath, Shaula, Girtab, Iota1 Scorpii, Iota2 Scorpii and Sargas; all from the Scorpio constellation;
Between the Lagoon Nebula and the Butterfly Cluster lies the center of the Milky Way, with the large Black Hole Sagittarius A*.
