Location
Jaylen, the model, sent me a inspo image wanting to play with smoke and mirrors. The Mirror is actual salvaged from my childhood home and the Nan Tube lights cam out of my video kit. This was shoot in my studio in Jeffersonville, IN.Time
Jaylen like to shoot in the morning so after about an hour in hair and makeup, we got started. I believe it was around 11:00am. Andrea Ahl, The HMUA and Nail artist is most responsible for the styling here.Lighting
The Nanlite tubes are out of my Video kit, It was my original intention to hide the tubes, But phenomenon of the internet, shots with tubes in them are popular all of a sudden.Equipment
This shot was taken on a Sony a73 with a Tamron 70-180 f2.8 Aperture ISO 500?Shutter 1/90. I fogged the room with a little halloween store fogger and the rest is down to the pose.Inspiration
I normally trade concepts with models. One shoot we work on ideas I want and then the next its the model's choice. this was one of Jaylen's choices so I though my creative gusto behind it.Editing
I do as little as possible. I have some lut packs that are my go to, and generally lean toward a cooler color pallet and high contrast. This image has a bit of skin softening and a little clean up here and there but it is fairly much out of the camera.In my camera bag
I run with an a73, and all tamron glass, 20mm prime, 28-70mm and a 70-180mm f2.8 and one off camera flash with transmitter.Feedback
