Behind The Lens

Location

This picture of my husband was taken in my kitchen while he was sitting on the floor against the base of a black cabinet. By no means is the man shy, he does avoid my lens. I thought I was going to get a great profile shot, I got this instead.

Time

This is one of my favorite images of my super man. Those hands have created beautiful things, carried babies, rescued dogs, held on a gurney in pain, wrenches on cars, and gently lifts butterflies with broken wings. It was time to get a picture of those hands before we sat down to dinner.

Lighting

Light did not play a monumental part in this photograph, the black cabinet made for a great background.

Equipment

This awesome shot was taken with my Canon t8i, 85 1.8 lens.

Inspiration

Editing

The picture in color is beautiful, the picture in black and white really drew the attention to his hands, I used my slider in Light room for a higher contrast.

In my camera bag

I usually carry my Sigma 600mm and my Canon 100mm macro lens. I have not played with the lens used in this shot much, it will be used a lot more!
