Location
Took this photo in our bedroom/photo studio.Time
It was around mid day, noonish. A big portion of the lighting was sunlight.Lighting
The lighting is a total mix of sun, photography lights, and E-streamer colored flood lights. The time of day had as much to do with the lighting as any of the photography lights.Equipment

The joy of motherhood. My wife was just a few weeks pregnant, and her body was beginning to show the signs. I have captured her beauty for almost 8 years now. I will never stop documenting her life.Editing
I use Adobe photoshop for CR2(raw) to edit. Then I often use Luminar AI to enhance eyes, lips and many other small tweaks. I don't like the end result to be over edited, but I do take advantage of modern AI to tweak parts of the photo. In my camera bag

When taking photos of people what you see in the models eyes is, in large part, how they see the photographer. Dress for success. Be clean and well groomed on any photoshoot with people. You don't have to be clean shaven and short hair, as long as you are clean and well kept. People judge on appearance, even when they are not aware of it. Being a photographer can almost be an acting role, you are reflected in the eyes and body language of the model. Be very careful what and how you say things. You have to read each model and adjust your interactions to match. You must find ways to make the model feel comfortable and safe with you. You won't like every model you work with, but the win is getting the shots. Petty personal interactions and traits can be dismissed when the photographer is focused on the end results. Be kind, smile, give words of encouragement as you direct. Even if you plan to do darker shoots with the model, developed that friendly repour with the model so that they can focus on their side of the acting role. If they like you and are comfortable with you, you can both focus on making your vision a reality.
