Drowning in the pages of knowledge. Our screams become silenced.

This self-portrait was shot in a bath tub that was full of water. I had carefully placed pages on top of the water so that they wouldn't sink to the bottom. Holding my breath and sinking my head under the pages, I positioned myself among the pages as they slowly drifted into frame. I physically drowned several times trying to capture this shot.
