I took this photo close to my house while picking up some Popeye's fried chicken. It was a great opportunity having the grackles lined up on all the telephone lines showing the black silhouettes against the different shades of orange in the background.Time
It was in December around 5:30 pm as the sun was going down that evening showing that colorful shades of orange color in the sky.Lighting
It was the perfect time to take this shot in December as the sunset has a beautiful hue of orange color in different shades. If you wait 1 minute too much to take the shot, it will darken the color background and will lose the right amount of light.Equipment
I used my Rx 10 IV camera. Took the shot without a tripod at f2, 1/60, ISO 125.Inspiration
I took this photo at the spur of the moment as I saw the photo developing and knew that it was the perfect picture of grackles that gather every night during the winter evenings.Editing
I just used the Adobe Lightroom to sharpen the image of the grackles. In my camera bag
I usually have my camera, two extra batteries, filters, charger, and a lense cleaning rag.Feedback
It's all about timing and been in the right place and expect the unexpected. Be ready to take that perfect shot. You don't always have time to set up a tripod.
