The picture was taken in my garden, which works for me as a living laboratory that is always new, always fun, always surprising!Time
It was an December 2018 afternoon, between 4.30/5pm.Lighting
Natural light, in the beautiful garden of a farm in South Brazil, in a place at 2000 mts of altitude, which gives a cleaner and crystalline luminosity than in regions closer to the sea level. The place is called 'Morro do Cristo', in União da Vitória, PR/Brazil.Equipment
My cellphone Blackview 8000Pro, Aperture 20/10, ISO 114, Focal Length 3500/1000. No tripod, no flash.?Inspiration
My deep admiration and love for the planet that welcomes us and which unfortunately is not loved or appreciated and I would even say not even noticed by the vast majority of our species... It is imperative, without further ado, to change our attitude towards this, as there is clearly a group that wants to dominate it and another that wants to destroy it. I feel, perhaps naively on my part, that if we show how admirable and beautiful it is, we can sensitize those who only see profit and no sense in the wonderful perfection of coexistence with the countless species present and that, unlike ours, love, respect and collaborate with this magnificent entity that is GAIA, our Planet Earth. So... what inspired me to take this photo? I can say: LOVE AND HOPE!Editing
Do not. Just a small approximation of the image that in the original is a little further away because I didn't want to scare this magnificent being in front of me. There is no other intervention in the image. In my camera bag
2 cameras: Canon EOS i7 and my old PentaxME Super / extra batteries / 35 mm, 50 mm, 75-300 e 18-55 lens / extra memory card / and my old cellphone BV8000Pro.Feedback
I can only say what about in images like this works for me: I NEVER go out in search of something specific. I take what is giving to me for the place & moment I am. Why? because it's natural and spontaneous in me.. without preparations or conditioning... Why? because this is the nature of the world that we are photographing: natural & spontaneous. Whether insects, mountains, flowers or stars.. When you shoot in a studio, you have to be focused, demonstrate the required technical and professional skills and a taste for a certain requirement that calls for originality, creativity and competitiveness. A certain tension is part of each work and it doesn't get in the way, on the contrary, it pulls your best. All the opposite of images like this require, where the environment feels your tension and concern... it hides from you, it closes itself off. In a very, very old text from Tibet it reads: "Make nature feel you and recognize you as part of her, and she will welcome you and support you as she does with all her creatures." I think that's it: do you want to photograph the natural world? be like Nature itself: spontaneous and creative. :)
