Behind The Lens
Location
This was taken in the middle of no where in Alice Springs, Central Australia in the freezing cold at about 4am early one morning when I was about half way through doing my professional photography course.Time
We had got ourselves up at 2am to go watch and capture a meteor shower but the moon was still quite full so it washed out a lot of the meteors but the milkyway was beautiful lit up by the moonLighting
The full moon was a lot of the lighting. I used a 14mm lens on F2.8 for a 15 sec shot and stacked about 6 imagesEquipment
I used a canon 6D with a samyang 14mm lens and a k & f concept tripod with a remote shutter release cableInspiration
I was out looking for meteors which were washed out but the milkyway was just beautiful so changed to taking pics of that insteadEditing
There was a small amount of post processing just mainly highlight tweaking etc and stacking a few photosIn my camera bag
Generally in my bag I have my canon 6D, my 35-350mm L lens, my 14mm, 50mm, cleaning apparatus, charger for phone, lightning trigger, remote trigger, flash, spare batteries, spare memory cardsFeedback
I would just go out and have fun and try different settings until you find what you like
